So, as you know, Oprah Winfrey usually has her annual Favorite Things show before the holidays start.

That's when she lists her top gift items for the year and gives EVERYONE in the audience the top gifts.

You know, the episode where all the women go batshit crazy!!!!!!!!!

Last year, everyone got a $3,800 HDTV refrigerator. Nice.

But, this, year things are getting downgraded a bit. Partly due to the shitty economy.

Sources are confirming that this years annual gift list will feature items on the cheap.

Including "a special gift that won't cost a thing."

This year's episode will air this coming Wednesday.

Angelina Jolie has a boarding school?

We mean, of course she has a boarding school!

It is an all girls boarding school in Kenya.

How Oprah-esque!

And, a recent study conducted by a Wellesley psychology student found that the girls attending Jolie's school demonstrated a greater sense of self esteem.

Utilizing art for her study, Katie Bunten-Wren test students from two different schools in a large refugee camp called Kakuma. One was a co-ed and the other was Angelina's school. Asked to draw and describe themselves and their ideal partners, Bunten-Wren found that boys generally displayed higher self esteem.

The girls from Jolie's school, however, rivaled the lads, voicing aspirations to go on to college and become doctors and leaders.

Bunten-Wren says she was inspired by her experienced, and now feels a calling to go help women achieve higher education.

The U.S. government is asking the Supreme Court to review Miss Nasty's epic wardrobe malfunction of 2004 and reimpose the half million dollars fined to CBS.

The Supreme Court may or may not consider the request.

As y'all recall Justin Timberlake somehow "accidentally" exposed one of Janet Jackson's boobies on live television during the Superbowl half-time show, resulting in a big fuss. We were more weirded out by her nipple jewelry!

The FCC shook its fist and slapped CBS with a $550,000 fine. But, after 3 years embroiled in legal bickering, a federal court ruled that the network could not be held accountable for a dumb publicity student. Or accident. Whatever you wanna call it.

Semantics!

The government is now asking the Supreme Court to consider "whether the court of appeals erred in holding that the federal communications commission acted arbitrarily and capriciously (…) in determining that the most widely viewed broadcast public nudity in television history fell within the federal prohibitions on broadcast indecency."

Really? 4 years later?

What a year for the Britster!

And, she's totally ready for the spotlight again, so says her long time manager, Larry Rudolph.

"She's definitely ready," he opines. "She loves to work. She's a very strong person. Everybody goes through setbacks in their lives. [But] every day, I see her getting happier and stronger."

Though her musical comeback is important, Larry says his money-making machine has made it clear that motherhood comes first.

He told a reporter, "Her kids and balancing her life with her kids is an incredible priority – the No. 1 priority in terms of how I operate with her."

Bah humbug!

ABC is making BIG changes to their lineup!

According to reports, three ABC shows have been canceled - or are almost dead.

Dirty Sexy Money, Pushing Daisies, AND Eli Stone will all be ending this season. 99%.

At the moment, the network is not commenting, but multiple sources have confirmed the news.

However, Daisies creator Bryan Fuller says, "It's all true. I'm so very proud of this show and grateful for everyone's hard work in bringing it to life. We would love to continue telling this season's arcs in a comic book format, just to tie up all the loose strings — and believe me, there are plenty. That way we can tell a stand alone movie story that doesn't have all the baggage from the second season stories — and those bags are packed!"

Some changes will also be made mid-season to the current schedule.

For example, their spin-off show Private Practice will be moved to 10pm on Thursdays following Grey's Anatomy beginning mid-December. An obvious attempt to up the ratings.

And starting January, Scrubs will join the network's Tuesday lineup and Life on Mars will be moved to Wednesdays.

Thankfully they didn't get rid of Ugly Better and Desperate Housewives. Or should they have?
